Mumbai, 1st March 2025—The Khudabadi Amil Panchayat (KAP) successfully hosted the world premiere of The Sindh Story, a groundbreaking film by Anand Manwani, at the iconic Regal Cinema in Colaba. This event was more than just a film screening; it was a monumental cultural movement, a tribute to Sindhi heritage, and a powerful statement on women's empowerment.

While many came together to make this event a reality, one force stood at the very heart of it all—the Young Amil Circle(YAC). The backbone, the soul, and the driving force, YAC didn’t just assist in the event—they owned it, shaped it, and made it truly spectacular. Every single aspect, from meticulous planning to flawless execution, from logistics to audience engagement, from coordination with dignitaries to ensuring an unforgettable guest experience, was spearheaded by YAC with unparalleled dedication and passion.

Three weeks before the premiere, the YAC, led by Convenor Devesh Makhijani, President Sidharth Makhijani, Vice-President Raahuul Advani, General Secretary Mihir Mirchandani, Jt. Secretary Garv Jhangiani, Treasurer Leisha Mansukhani, and Office Admin Namrata Advani, got to work, leaving no stone unturned. Their tireless efforts, strategic thinking, and relentless determination transformed an ambitious vision into an extraordinary reality.

Recognizing the importance of bringing Sindhi youth into the cultural conversation, YAC took the initiative to personally reach out to colleges under the HSNC Board, including KC College, Jai Hind College, HR College, and RD National College. This outreach ensured that young students actively participated in and witnessed the historic revival of Sindhi cinema. Dr. Neha Jagtiani, Principal of RD National College, became one of the strongest allies in this movement. Not only did she support the initiative wholeheartedly, but she also had the film’s trailer launched at RD National College’s annual Sindhi cultural fest, ‘Jashn’, and provided volunteers for the premiere day itself.

As the event unfolded, it became clear that YAC was not just involved—they were the architects of its success. Their attention to detail, ability to handle last-minute challenges with grace, and unwavering commitment ensured that everything went seamlessly. Their leadership turned what could have been a simple film premiere into an unforgettable night of culture, pride, and inspiration.

On the KAP side, Ramesh Mansukhani (Secretary, KAP), Laveena Shahani (Additional Joint Secretary, KAP), and Pradeep Gidwani (Managing Committee Member & Event Sub-Committee Lead, KAP) played pivotal roles in the event’s coordination, working closely with YAC to support its grand vision.

Adding a magical touch to the evening was Umesh Pherwani, whose dynamic hosting and mesmerizing mentalism acts left the audience in awe. As a surprise gesture, Deepak and Anita Gidwani unveiled a custom cake featuring the film’s banner, creating a moment of celebration that embodied the love and passion driving this event.

The premiere was graced by the presence of the film’s esteemed cast and crew, adding to the grandeur of the evening. Sona Manwani, the producer, played a crucial role in bringing The Sindh Story to life, ensuring that the film stayed true to its vision of celebrating Sindhi culture and women empowerment. Anand Manwani, the writer, crafted a compelling narrative that resonated deeply with the audience, capturing the essence of Sindhi heritage with authenticity and emotion. Tariq Bhat, the director, masterfully translated this vision onto the big screen, bringing the story to life with powerful visuals and storytelling.

The film’s talented artists—Chanda Virani, Priit Khatri, and Rakesh Karra; delivered stellar performances that captivated the audience, making each scene a memorable experience. Their dedication and craft added depth and emotion to the story, making The Sindh Story not just a film, but a cultural milestone.

With over 800 attendees, the film received a thunderous standing ovation, a testament to its compelling narrative, cultural significance, and cinematic brilliance. But beyond the success of the film itself, the night belonged to YAC—the true champions of this movement.

It wasn’t just an event but a statement of resilience, leadership, and community spirit. And at the heart of it all stood the Young Amil Circle, a powerhouse of determination, vision, and execution.

If there is one undeniable truth, it is this: Without YAC, this premiere wouldn’t have been possible. They didn’t just assist—they led. They didn’t just participate—they drove the entire operation with passion and excellence.

With the resounding success of The Sindh Story, YAC has once again raised the bar for cultural events, proving that with passion, commitment, and vision, anything is possible. Their work stands as a beacon of inspiration, ensuring that Sindhi heritage continues to thrive for generations to come.
