On January 12, 2025, the Khudabadi Amil Panchayat (KAP), in close collaboration with the Young Amil Circle (YAC), hosted its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Sun n Sand Hotel in Juhu. The event was a testament to what can be achieved through intergenerational collaboration, with the YAC playing a key organizational role alongside KAP.
The YAC’s dedication extended well beyond the virtual realm, with a focused campaign to promote the AGM across multiple social media platforms. Convenor Mr. Devesh Makhijani, along with President Mr. Sidharth Makhijani, Vice-President Mr. Raahuul Advani, General Secretary Mr. Mihir Mirchandani, Jt. Secretary Mr. Garv Jhangiani, Treasurer Ms. Leisha Mansukhani, and members of the managing committee, ensured the event ran seamlessly on the day.
The YAC team efficiently managed the registration and membership desk, ensuring a smooth check-in process under the guidance of KAP Office Administrator Ms. Namrata Advani. Their attention to detail and organizational skills were evident throughout, particularly in their coordination of the felicitation ceremony, which celebrated esteemed guests and meritorious youth of the Amil community.
Crucially, the event was a joint effort with the leadership of KAP. Secretary Mr. Ramesh Mansukhani and Vice President Mr. Chandraban Ramchandani offered key support and guidance. Ms. Laveena Shahani, the Event Coordinator and head of the event subcommittee, was instrumental in planning and execution, while Mr. Pradeep Gidwani, a member of the subcommittee, contributed significantly to shaping the event’s final structure. Their partnership with YAC exemplified the strength of shared leadership.
The AGM also featured impactful keynote addresses from prominent speakers. Mr. Sasha Mirchandani, Founder and MD of KAE Capital, inspired the audience with his story of grit and entrepreneurial success. Celebrated filmmaker Mr. Tushar Hiranandani shared his creative journey, encouraging attendees to pursue their passions. Mrs. Sunaina Advani Murthy, Non-Executive Director at Blue Star, deeply moved the gathering with her account of overcoming adversity to achieve professional success, a powerful message of resilience.
YAC members also confidently took on emceeing and hosting duties, bringing youthful energy and professionalism to the stage. Their vibrant presence added warmth and welcome to the proceedings, making the AGM a dynamic and inclusive experience for all.
During the event, the newly elected YAC committee was formally introduced. Their vision and plans for the upcoming year were shared with the community, fostering transparency and inviting broader youth participation in community-building efforts.
In a significant step forward, YAC, in collaboration with KAP, announced an impactful partnership with Blue Star to offer scholarships to underprivileged but deserving Sindhi students aspiring to study architecture and engineering. This initiative reflects YAC’s deep commitment to education and empowerment, with KAP’s ongoing support reinforcing the shared values of community development.
Additionally, YAC, alongside KAP, unveiled the revamped Amil Sindhis website, outlining a vision that emphasized youth engagement, social responsibility, and the continued development of the community. This digital platform is a collaborative effort aimed at strengthening the bond between generations and fostering greater involvement in community initiatives.
The AGM’s success was a reflection of the synergy between YAC’s fresh ideas and energy and KAP’s steady leadership and experience. This collaboration laid a strong foundation for future endeavors, highlighting YAC’s growing role as an essential force within the Amil Sindhi community. With their continued dedication to thoughtful planning, innovative programming, and meaningful partnerships, the future promises even more impactful initiatives.
From scholarship launches to website revamps, YAC and KAP proved that progress thrives on collaboration.
