"The happiest people I know are those who lose themselves in the service of others."

Few quotes resonate more with the spirit of the Khudabadi Amil Panchayat (KAP) than this one. That spirit was on full display during the Free Health Checkup Camp held on 18th June 2023 at Navjivan Gurmandir, Mumbai Central; an initiative organized by KAP in collaboration with the Young Amil Circle (YAC) and leading healthcare institutions.
At the heart of this successful event was the dynamic leadership of Ms. Laveena Shahani, Event Subcommittee Lead from KAP, whose direction and dedication ensured every detail aligned with the community’s welfare. Under her guidance, the YAC team exemplified commitment, discipline, and seamless execution.
The health camp offered free vital and eye examinations to citizens ranging in age from 8 to 90 years, serving approximately 85 to 90 attendees. The planning began three weeks in advance, with YAC members actively coordinating with KAP and partner organizations to ensure a well-structured and impactful event.
The day of the event saw the YAC team arriving early, setting up registration desks and medical booths, and conducting a mock drill to eliminate foreseeable challenges. Their proactive mindset made a significant difference in the smooth operation of the camp.
Spearheading the YAC effort were Conveners Ms. Rashmi Mirchandani and Mr. Devesh Makhijani, along with President Mr. Rohit Thadhani, and Vice-President Mr. Sidharth Makhijani. The event was further strengthened by the contributions of Mr. Raahuul Advani, Mr. Mihir Mirchandani, and Mr. Garv Jhangiani, whose coordination and presence ensured efficiency at every touchpoint—from registration to crowd flow management.
The KAP Managing Committee acknowledged and applauded the efforts of the young volunteers. Their enthusiasm and willingness to serve stood as a shining example of intergenerational collaboration rooted in shared values and vision.
This health camp was not just an event; it was a testament to the strength of community service under KAP’s leadership, executed with youthful vigor by YAC. The entire team looks forward to continuing this spirit of seva (selfless service), making a lasting difference in the lives of those they serve.
